History of International Olympic Day
International Olympic Day was first introduced in 1948, but the Olympic Games started many years ago on 23 June 1894 in Sorbonne, Paris. On 23 June, 1948 is celebrated every year as International Olympic Day. When Olympic Day was first celebrated, it was celebrated by the International Olympic Committees in a total of 9 countries, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, Great Britain, Greece, Portugal, Switzerland, Uruguay and Venezuela.
